ABOUT US

The Tableland Company of Archers members shoot on Sundays at their grounds at Chicken Hatchery Road, off Springs Road, Mareeba. Members help coach beginners in the morning and shoot rounds in the afternoon, except on days when a full day is needed for shooting the round.

Members pay $2.00 Target Fees on the day. Visiting Archery Club members are welcome to join in and will pay a Visitors Fee of $5.00. Visitors are advised to ring first for directions.

Beginners and also visitors are welcome on Sundays for coaching at the above range from 9.00am to 12noon. The coaching fees are $15.00 (which includes insurance and equipment hire). Low poundage equipment is available for beginners.

Club equipment is available to beginner members for the first 6 months, after which there is a hiring fee.

Members can practise on coaching mornings if there are enough targets.

The club hosts one annual Interclub Tournament in August. In addition, the club hosts the NQAA State Championships in turn with two other clubs in the region annually at Easter, the NQAA Field Championships in turn with two other clubs in the region annually in October and also hosts the Archery Queensland Target and Short Range Championships at various times during the year. The club has a Target Range for target, indoor and clout and a Field Range which has 16 Targets set up at present. Both are situated at the end of Chicken Hatchery Road, off Springs Road (behind the Mareeba Motor Racing Club), Mareeba.
